Route de Meyrin

In collaboration with the Canton of Geneva and the Communes of Meyrin and Vernier, we will do our third and final cycle (2027-2028) around the Route de Meyrin in the northwest of the city of Geneva. Originally known as Route de Lyon, this road appeared in the 18th century, to offer a link between Lyon and Geneva by the right bank of the Rhone via Fort-l’Ecluse, Collonges, Thoiry and Meyrin without passing through Savoy. Along its lines we can find in a dynamic entanglement the industrial past of the city, growing suburban communities and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
